Around a billion people don't have enough food to eat, yet we throw away around a third of all the food produced.

These resources comprise a set of informative teacher notes (including suggested learning activities) that run alongside a Powerpoint presentation filled with images to facilitate learning.  Aimed at Key Stage 3, but also relevant for Key Stages 2 and 4.  Areas covered:

  1. How much food do we waste?
  2. Why do we waste so much food?
  3. What are the impacts of food waste?
  4. What is being done to reduce food waste?
  5. What can we all do to help reduce food waste?
