As an Executive Member of Urban Partners, a voluntary business partnership for Euston, King’s Cross and St Pancras, In 2016, Lesley established a “Homework Club” at Eurostar for local 6th form students to have quiet study space and also have extra tuition to help them with their A levels. This was supported by other partnership businesses which has members which include Google, the Guardian, King’s Place, HS1, Argent, Springer Nature and Havas.
Amongst other environmental initiatives to support Eurostar’s “Tread Lightly” commitments, Lesley also established a bee colony adjacent to HS1 in Kent to supply Eurostar Honey for onboard business premier puddings. It was in 2011 that Eurostar first began working with the YPTE and Lesley was proud to have been asked to be a Trustee on her retirement.
Living in Hampshire with her husband Paul, she enjoys the beauty of countryside and the South Coast. Lesley is fully committed to ensuring that the next generations of young people have the best understanding, the best opportunities and make the best decisions to protect and enhance our unique environment.
