1. The competition is open to entries from secondary schools located in England.  Work undertaken in the 2021-22 academic year or during the 2022-23 academic year is eligible for entry.
  2. The closing date for receipt of entries is 31 March 2023.
  3. Entries may be submitted using written documents, photos and video, or a combination of these elements.
  4. Entries should be submitted via email to info@ypte.org.uk with the subject header “Eco Action Awards Entry".
  5. Entries with files that are too large to be submitted via email should be sent via www.wetransfer.com.
  6. Judging will take place by 30 April 2023 and will be carried out by a panel which includes the staff and Young Trustees of YPTE and staff from The Edwin Group. 
  7. All winners will be informed of their success by 5 May 2023.
  8. The competition is open to any group of young people aged 11 to 18. 
  9. The name and county of the winning schools and the names of the judges will be available to anyone sending a stamped addressed envelope to YPTE, Yeovil Innovation Centre, Barracks Close, Copse Road, Yeovil, Somerset, BA22 8RN within 28 days of the published closing date.
  10. YPTE  and The Edwin Group reserve the right to publish the school name, photographs and county of the winners or to publicise the Awards presentation after the presentation and before 31 December 2023.
  11. Photos or video content from your project may be used by YPTE or The Edwin Group on their websites or social media.  Please ensure that appropriate parental permissions have been obtained prior to submitting your entry.  We will NEVER publish name children’s names in any website or social media content we create.
  12. There is no limit to the number of entries each school can submit.
  13.  All entrants to the competition will be deemed to have accepted the rules.
  14.  There will be ONE winner and TWO runners-up, which will be selected from the entries received.
  15.  Prizes will transmitted to winning schools via BACS transfers and can only be made into a school bank account.
  16.  Judging will take account of the age(s) of entrants, so younger entrants will not be unfairly penalised.
  17.  The decision of the judging panel is final and no other correspondence will be entered into.
