At YPTE, we believe that young people need accurate information about how human actions can impact our planet. By inspiring pupils to care for the natural world, we can help them to build a better future.

At COP26 in 2021, the Secretary of State for Education announced that a new curriculum is on the way, which will have a greater focus on sustainability and climate change.  But whilst it may seem difficult to cover environmental topics in the context of the current primary science curriculum, it is absolutely possible to explore these key issues via cross curricular teaching.  This pack has been designed to help facilitate this process.

What does the pack include?

  • Links to complete lesson plans by YPTE
  • Links to packs designed for home learning
  • Practical activity ideas
  • Links to other resources and lesson plans
